You can also rent a car, many clients recommend Europe Car. There are many car hire companies and we would recommend that you check out Google reviews to find the best for you.
They have offices all over Spain, plus it would give you the opportunity to explore the area for yourself.
With regards for driving from the airport the Mojacar it is incredibly easy as the main A7-E15 motorway connects all of them and the road networks out here are really quiet way less than Murcia.

The airports you want to fly in to are -
Corvera, 1hr and 20 mins from Mojacar, Alicante 2hrs from Mojacar or the best if you can get a flight into the airport is Almeria, which is just 45 minutes from Mojacar.
